Outdoor Movie Screen Rental in Nebraska

Nebraska is an interesting state. Nebraska has two large cities – Omaha and Lincoln – which serve as the hub for most of the activity in the state. If you wanted to find outdoor movies, music festivals or cultural fairs in Nebraska, you would head to one of these two cities. But what’s unique is that these cities lie less than an hour apart on the far Eastern side of the state. This leaves nearly the entire rest of the state sparsely populated and getting little attention for the activities that go on there.

Lincoln and Omaha are where most people are going to go if they visit Nebraska. And indeed, a bulk of the state’s population can be found in one of those two Nebraska cities. But there are plenty of small towns located all throughout the rest of Nebraska which are filled with interesting people who are up to interesting things. Small communities all throughout the state have been known to host annual outdoor movie events and concerts to bring together the people who live there and to celebrate what Nebraska is all about. In fact, it is a small Nebraska city called Meadow Grove which is considered the birthplace of free outdoor movies!

Lincoln

Lincoln is the capital city of Nebraska and the state’s second most populated city (behind only Omaha). This makes it a hub of much of the activity that takes place in the state. To bring together the community within this urban area, members of the city regularly plan events that encourage residents to get together and get to know their neighbors. Outdoor movies are one type of event that serves this purpose.

If you’re looking for interesting things to do in Lincoln, such as outdoor movies or outdoor markets, you might want to start in the Haymarket neighborhood. This historic Lincoln neighborhood has a farmer’s market, art events and other cultural community-building activities that bring unique experiences to the area.

Another place to look at spending some time outdoors with the Nebraska community is in downtown Lincoln. From May through September, Downtown Lincoln hosts live music and performance events during the daytime for people to enjoy. Evening events include outdoor movies and live entertainments. And of course Lincoln also has special events like outdoor festivities for the holidays and festivals throughout the year.

Omaha

Lincoln may be the capital of Nebraska but Omaha is the most populated Nebraska city. This makes it even more attractive to visitors interested in spending time in the state. Omaha has an interesting place in the state because it hovers right on the border of Iowa. It is also located right on the Missouri River which means that people from both Nebraska and Iowa come to Omaha to enjoy on-the-water activities.

It’s great to be out on the water but eventually you get hungry and tired. For that reason Omaha has built a number of restaurants and resting areas where tired residents and visitors can both go to spend their evenings. Settling in amongst the others who are enjoying Omaha, they can relax in front of outdoor movies or make conversation with locals at weekend festivals.

Omaha has been growing in many ways throughout the last few years. It is increasingly an area where technology businesses spring up as well as an area where the arts are rapidly developing. This has made Omaha and even more popular part of Nebraska for events like outdoor movies where people can get to know others who are helping to creatively improve the city.
