Cinema under the stars in Onset has been a tradition every summer since 1997, presented at the Band Shell in Onset Center. Cinema under the stars enthusiasts can enjoy the yearly SomerMovie Fest, a series of eight films, presented on outdoor movie screens set up in several locations throughout the city. Movies are shown on Thursday nights throughout the months of July and August, beginning at dusk, approximately 8PM. The majority of theses weekly outdoor cinema events are held in Seven Hills Park, Davis Square, with the exception of one event at each of two other city parks, Conway Park and Prospect Hill Park.
